Huff was limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday but was a full participant on Friday—the team's final session before hosting the Rams at Levi's Stadium on Sunday.
"Bryce is good to go," head coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters on Friday.
Huff's return comes at a critical time for a 49ers defensive line that has been hit hard by injuries this season, including season-ending ACL tears to Nick Bosa and rookie Mykel Williams.
"Yeah, huge need," Shanahan said. "Bryce has had a hell of a year. He probably had his best game, his last one, versus Atlanta. And then we've lost a couple of guys since then, too. So, getting him back was huge regardless, but especially after losing some guys, it's that much more important."
In his first season with the 49ers, Huff has recorded 19 tackles (six for loss), six quarterback hits, four sacks, one pass defensed, and a forced fumble through seven games. His return should provide a significant spark to San Francisco's pass rush as the team looks to keep pace in the NFC West.
Still, the 49ers' defensive front isn't fully healthy heading into this crucial division showdown. Alfred Collins, Kalia Davis, and Keion White are all listed as questionable for Sunday's game. Collins (hip) did not practice on Friday, while Davis (ankle) and White (groin) were limited. Their availability will be worth monitoring.
