On Friday, the 49ers ruled out center Jake Brendel, defensive end Bryce Huff, and wide receiver Ricky Pearsall for Sunday's matchup against the Giants.
Several players were listed as questionable: offensive lineman Ben Bartch (ankle, on injured reserve), who was later downgraded to out, defensive tackle Jordan Elliott (ankle), defensive end Sam Okuayinonu (ankle), quarterback Brock Purdy (toe), and linebacker Dee Winters (knee). Of that group, Elliott, Okuayinonu, and Winters are active for Sunday's game.
Purdy, who was not ruled out for the first time since Week 4, is officially inactive on game day. However, head coach Kyle Shanahan had already confirmed that Mac Jones would start against the Giants.
The 49ers made a series of roster moves on Saturday as they prepare for Sunday's game. The team activated offensive lineman Spencer Burford (knee) from injured reserve and elevated defensive end Clelin Ferrell and offensive lineman Nick Zakelj from the practice squad.
Additionally, the 49ers placed defensive end Yetur Gross-Matos on injured reserve after he re-aggravated his hamstring during Thursday's practice.
