Two of the San Francisco 49ers' three quarterbacks are on the injury report this week. Brock Purdy and Mac Jones were both limited in Wednesday's practice. Purdy continues to work his way back from the toe injury sustained in Week 1, while Jones is managing a knee injury that was re-aggravated during Sunday's matchup against the Arizona Cardinals.
The wide receiver group is also ailing. Ricky Pearsall, Jauan Jennings, and rookie Jordan Watkins all sat out of practice. Pearsall exited Sunday's game with a knee issue.
"I'm not really concerned, but I just want to check it out a little bit," Pearsall said ahead of practice. "And that's kind of what I'm doing with this. It's just a little bit of soreness, and I'm not worried about it. If there was a game today, I'd play."
Pearsall did some light work on the side during practice. Meanwhile, Jennings remains sidelined with ankle and shoulder issues, and Watkins—still awaiting his NFL debut—is expected to miss additional time due to a calf injury.
Defensive tackle CJ West underwent surgery on his broken thumb on Tuesday, and the team is hopeful he can play with a cast in Week 4 if he returns to practice later this week.
Below are Wednesday's practice participation reports for both the 49ers and Jaguars, which were provided by the 49ers Communications staff.
