Purdy was a limited participant in Wednesday and Thursday practices. The 49ers will reveal his official game status—questionable, doubtful, or out—along with his practice participation level after practice.
The starting quarterback is working his way back from a toe injury sustained in Week 1 against the Seattle Seahawks. He missed Week 2 against the New Orleans Saints, with Mac Jones stepping in as the temporary starter.

On Thursday, Purdy emphasized that his availability likely won't be determined until Sunday.
"Definitely just got to see, come game time, how I feel," Purdy explained. "Obviously, I wanna play every game. I want to be out there. We only get 17 regular-season games, and every game matters, especially the divisional [ones], going against the Cardinals.
"So, if you ask me, I'd love to, but I'm trying to be smart with my body here. But you never know. We'll see when the game comes."
Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports that it doesn't look like wide receiver Jauan Jennings (ankle, shoulder) and defensive end Yetur Gross-Matos (knee) are practicing.
Both the 49ers and Cardinals enter Sunday's clash at Levi's Stadium undefeated at 2-0, setting the stage for a highly anticipated NFC West showdown.
