Piñeiro (5-11, 190) originally entered the NFL after signing with the Oakland Raiders as an undrafted free agent on May 4, 2018. Throughout his five-year career, he has appeared in 70 games with the Chicago Bears (2019), New York Jets (2021), and Carolina Panthers (2022-24), where he connected on 111 of his 126 field goal attempts (88.1 percent) and 116 of his 125 extra point attempts (92.8 percent). Piñeiro has also spent time on the Washington Commanders practice squad (2021). In 2024, Piñeiro appeared in 17 games with the Panthers and connected on 22 of his 26 field goal attempts (84.6 percent) and 33 of his 35 extra point attempts (94.3 percent).
A 29-year-old native of Miami, FL, Piñeiro attended the University of Florida for two years (2016-17), where he appeared in 24 games and connected on 38 of his 43 field goal attempts (88.4 percent) and 56 of his 58 extra point attempts (96.6 percent).
