On Wednesday, the 49ers released a first look at their new alternate uniforms, showcasing a striking all-black design with red and gold accents. Fans can watch the reveal video shared by the team below.
The uniforms feature:
- Black jerseys, pants, and helmets accented with red striping.
- Saloon-style numbers, modeled after Old West printing designs, in red with gold outlines.
- The word "Faithful" displayed above the front numbers, honoring the 49ers' devoted fan base.
- A sleek black helmet with red stripes, the current 49ers logo on the sides, and a gold facemask.
According to the team, the design blends the Bay Area's historic roots with a modern edge.
"I know the crowd is going to go crazy," cornerback Deommodore Lenoir said, per 49ers.com. "This is all everybody has been asking about."
"I feel violent when we wear all black," tight end George Kittle said. "Like we're just standing on business. All ten toes."
"I like the old school numbers, wow," linebacker Fred Warner stated. "I can't even wrap my mind around wearing this."
Quarterback Brock Purdy added, "I think all black is just going to look so slick."
Fans will have to wait to see them live. The 49ers will debut their all-black alternate uniforms in Week 18 at Levi's Stadium when they host the division-rival Seattle Seahawks. Click here to search for tickets to the game.
