The 49ers Communications staff provided the following rundown.
Guy Haberman will serve as the 49ers' official radio broadcast's primary fill-in anchor, in addition to his current duties as a play-by-play commentator for the Big Ten Network. He enters his first season with the 49ers with more than a decade of experience in sports broadcasting with the Pac-12 Network, FOX Sports, NBC/Peacock, NBC Sports Bay Area, and 95.7 The Game.
Justin Allegri will join the booth with 13 years of experience calling football games in the Bay Area. In 2023, he became the voice of the Cal Golden Bears football and men's basketball teams. Previously, Allegri served as the lead play-by-play broadcaster for his alma mater, San José State University, where he covered the football and men's basketball teams for 11 years. He has also been one of the radio voices of the San Jose Giants since 2015 and has served as a radio show voice for MLB The Show since 2014.
Troy Clardy is well-known to Bay Area college football fans as the voice of the Stanford Cardinal football and men's basketball teams since 2023. Clardy, a long-time Bay Area resident, is in his third season calling NCAA football on Westwood One. He also called the 2024 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament and 10 different sports on the Pac-12 Network. Clardy has called multiple NFL games on Compass Media Networks, including Christian McCaffrey's first 49ers start against the Los Angeles Rams in 2022.
Carlos Ramirez, a familiar face and voice to Bay Area sports fans, has an extensive resume that includes 23 years in television, radio, and digital media. Currently, he hosts 49ers Pre- and Postgame Live on NBC Sports Bay Area, in addition to covering the Giants and A's. He has called games for the NFL, NBA, MLB, and MLS, and international soccer matches and Olympic events in both English and Spanish. Ramirez was part of the 49ers Spanish Radio Network from 2019 to 2021.
Jack Smith, born and raised in San Jose, graduated from Archbishop Mitty High School in 2021 and earned a degree in Journalism from the University of Southern California in May 2025. He was the recipient of the 2025 Jim Nantz Award, which honors the nation's most outstanding collegiate sports broadcaster, for his television and radio calls for USC football, baseball, basketball, volleyball, lacrosse, and water polo. This year, he has served as Media Relations Assistant and radio voice of the Fredericksburg Nationals, the Single-A Affiliate of the Washington Nationals.
Collectively, Greg Papa and Tim Ryan have been part of the 49ers' official radio broadcast for over a decade. Papa is a Bay Area sports broadcasting legend of over 30 years, a three-time California Sportscaster of the Year, and a 2018 inductee into the Bay Area Radio Hall of Fame. Upon joining the 49ers in 2019, Papa became the first Bay Area broadcaster to have a role with five of the region's major professional teams.
Ryan, an accomplished analyst and former NFL player, has served as the color analyst for the 49ers' preseason television broadcast in the past, and is recognized nationally for his current role as a Westwood One Radio analyst and his former roles as an NFL on FOX analyst (2002-2013) and a SiriusXM NFL Radio host (2004-2013).
