Chosen (6-3, 185) entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the New York Jets in 2016. Over nine NFL seasons, he has recorded 380 receptions for 5,087 yards and 30 touchdowns.
San Francisco originally signed Chosen in August 2024, but he failed to make the final 53-man roster. Shortly after, he signed with the Miami Dolphins, his second stint with the team, appearing in two regular-season games and catching one pass for five yards.
In addition to the Jets and Dolphins, Chosen has also appeared in games with the Carolina Panthers and Arizona Cardinals.
Two 49ers wide receivers—Jauan Jennings and Jacob Cowing—are sidelined with injuries during training camp. Cowing is dealing with a hamstring injury, while Jennings is working through a calf injury.
San Francisco recently waived two wideouts—Equanimeous St. Brown and Malik Knowles—but added Marquez Callaway and Andy Isabella on one-year deals.
