To make room on the roster, the team released WR Equanimeous St. Brown and waived OL Sebastian Gutierrez, WR Malik Knowles, and S Jaylen Mahoney.
Additionally, San Francisco activated OL Ben Bartch from the active/non-football injury list.
The 49ers Communications staff provided the following rundown.
Abdullah (5-9, 203) was originally drafted by the Detroit Lions in the second round (54th overall) in the 2015 NFL Draft. Throughout his 10-year career with the Lions (2015-18), Minnesota Vikings (2018-21), Carolina Panthers (2021) and Las Vegas Raiders (2022-24), he has appeared in 141 games (26 starts) and registered 494 carries for 1,994 yards and eight touchdowns on the ground to go along with 203 receptions for 1,468 yards and 11 touchdowns through the air. He has also appeared in two postseason contests where he registered one carry for nine yards.
In 2024 with the Raiders, Abdullah appeared in 16 games (three starts) and registered 66 carries for 311 yards and two touchdowns on the ground to go along with 40 receptions for 261 yards and three touchdowns through the air.
A 32-year-old native of Homewood, AL, Abdullah attended the University of Nebraska for four years (2011-14), where he appeared in 53 games (33 starts) and registered 813 carries for 4,588 yards and 39 touchdowns on the ground to go along with 73 receptions for 690 yards and seven touchdowns through the air. He was twice named an Associated Press All-American (Second-Team – 2014; Third-Team – 2013) and earned All-Big Ten honors in each season of his career.
Bradley (6-3, 213) originally entered the NFL after signing with the Las Vegas Raiders as an undrafted free agent on April 29, 2024. He was signed to the team's practice squad on August 28, 2024, where he spent the remainder of the season. Bradley was waived by the Raiders on July 14, 2025.
A 25-year-old native of Jacksonville, FL, Bradley attended the University of South Alabama (2022-23) and the University of Toledo (2018-21), where he appeared in 46 games and completed 679 of his 1,081 passing attempts for 8,380 yards and 61 touchdowns.
Callaway (6-2, 204) originally entered the NFL after signing with the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent on April 27, 2020. Throughout his five-year NFL career, he has spent time with the Saints (2020-24), Denver Broncos (2023), Las Vegas Raiders (2023), Pittsburgh Steelers (2024) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2024), where he appeared in 47 games (17 starts) and registered 83 receptions for 1,069 yards and seven touchdowns. Also, appeared in two postseason contests (one start). In 2024, he spent time on the Buccaneers practice squad, where he appeared in two games with the team.
A 27-year-old native of Warner Robins, GA, Callaway attended the University of Tennessee (2016-19), where he appeared in 42 games and tallied 92 receptions for 1,646 yards and 13 touchdowns, along with one carry for four yards, and was named All-SEC Second Team honors in 2019.
Isabella (5-9, 188) was originally drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the second round (62nd overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft. Throughout his five-year NFL career with the Arizona Cardinals (2019-22), Baltimore Ravens (2022-23), Buffalo Bills (2023), and Pittsburgh Steelers (2024), he has appeared in 43 games (three starts) and registered 33 receptions for 447 yards and three touchdowns while adding six carries for 10 yards. Also, appeared in three postseason contests. In 2024, he signed with the Steelers practice squad on October 24, 2024, and was released on November 5, 2024.
A 28-year-old native of Mayfield, OH, Isabella attended the University of Massachusetts (2015-18), where he appeared in 45 games and totaled 231 receptions for 3,526 yards and 30 touchdowns to go along with 40 carries for 342 yards and two touchdowns, and was named Associated Press All-America Second Team.
Gutierrez (6-5, 308) originally signed with the team on November 30, 2024, where he appeared in one game with the team.
Knowles (6-2, 196) originally signed with the team on June 3, 2025.
Mahoney (5-11, 200) originally signed with the team as an undrafted rookie free agent on May 6, 2024, and appeared in three games with the team.
St. Brown (6-5, 214) originally signed with the team on July 22, 2025.
