Allen (6-2, 245) spent the 2025 season with the Memphis Showboats of the United Football League (UFL), where he appeared in 10 games and registered 23 tackles, 1.5 sacks, one forced fumble, and 21 quarterback pressures. He originally joined the Showboats in December 2024 after a brief stint with the Denver Broncos, who signed him as an undrafted free agent before waiving him with an injury settlement.
Before turning pro, Allen was a standout at the University of Memphis. He earned Second-Team All-AAC honors in 2023, starting all 13 games in his senior season while posting 40 tackles (seven for a loss), two sacks, two passes defensed, one fumble recovery, and one forced fumble.
Allen becomes the latest defensive addition for San Francisco as the team continues fine-tuning its roster heading into the preseason. The defensive front underwent a significant overhaul this offseason, marked by several veteran departures and the arrivals of rookies Mykel Williams, Alfred Collins, and CJ West. The 49ers also bolstered their pass rush by trading for Bryce Huff.
