"I've always been a big fishing advocate," Purdy said at the time. "So, I was telling my wife, and she's annoyed with me, but I'll say it. I'd like to get a bass boat one day. So yeah, that'll be my first big purchase."
However, that turned out not to be the case.
Tight end George Kittle recently appeared on the Pardon My Take podcast and revealed that Purdy's actual first big purchase wasn't a boat, but a house—right near Kittle himself.
"He said he wanted to buy a big fishing boat, which that's what he likes to do in his spare time, is to fish and be out on the water," Kittle shared. "He did purchase, in Nashville, Tennessee, a house, so he'll be kind of a neighbor to me at some point, which would be pretty fun because I actually have a quarterback that can throw to me all the time that's actually on my team. So, I'm excited about that."
When he's not in the Bay Area, Kittle calls Nashville home. Now, it appears Purdy will be joining him. The move gives the 49ers stars a chance to further strengthen their on-field chemistry year-round.
