While Aiyuk's early-season availability remains doubtful, the 49ers are encouraged by his recovery progress and leadership during rehabilitation. Aiyuk has remained engaged with the team and was even seen coaching up fellow wideouts during a recent practice.
"His team's important to him," Lynch said in an interview with NBC Sports Bay Area. "And so, he's been around, and increasingly, as he's getting to a point where he's getting closer with his knee, he's gotten back involved with the football, and that's a good thing. He's been around the other players, and trying to lend support and help, and coach with [wide receivers coach Leonard Hankerson], and it's a good group. We like it.
"We like what we've added to it, and it's going to be fun to see some guys have opportunities and see what they can do with it."
With Deebo Samuel gone and Aiyuk still recovering, some have questioned whether San Francisco might consider bringing in a veteran wide receiver to boost the depth chart.
"We always keep a look for what's out there, but we do like our group," Lynch acknowledged. "I think, first of all, you start with Jauan. Jauan had a tremendous season last year. He's been a tremendous competitor, player for us since he's been here. I think the fans, the team feed off Jauan's energy. He plays football the right way. I love his style.
"Ricky is a really ascending player we're excited about. Just scratched the surface of who he could be. And Ricky's going to play well for us this year. I'm confident in that. He's going to seize that opportunity that he has.
"Jacob Cowing did a great job. He and Ricky kind of were workout partners, and they attacked this offseason in a very impressive way. And Jacob's got a lot of speed, a lot of quickness, and he's put in the work. And when you put in the work, and you're that talented, you have a chance."

Lynch went on to praise Jordan Watkins, the team's fourth-round draft pick who has turned some heads this offseason, along with veteran addition Demarcus Robinson, a former rival with the Rams.
"Watkins has been impressive as a rookie, has really shown well in our offseason work," Lynch noted. "Demarcus Robinson's been a guy that we've competed against [while playing] the Rams, and saw a skill set we really liked. You play against someone for a long time, but then in person, you're like, 'Man, this guy's bigger than I thought.' He kind of looks like a defensive end out there. But he fits what we do really well.
"So, in total, there's opportunity out there, and then we'll have a gift when B.A. comes back, whenever that is. But these guys, we're comfortable and confident in their ability to get the job done until that time."
