The San Francisco 49ers kicked off rookie minicamp this week, holding a practice session on Friday afternoon—the only on-field workout open to the media. Reporters in attendance captured several photos and videos, offering a first look at the rookies as they got to work with the team.

A total of 52 players participated, including all 11 draft picks, signed undrafted free agents, and roster hopefuls on tryouts. Six second-year players also took part, among them quarterback Tanner Mordecai and wide receiver Terique Owens.

Second-round pick Alfred Collins, a defensive tackle, observed from the sidelines. He has been dealing with a calf issue.

Additionally, safety Marques Sigle (unknown), quarterback Kurtis Rourke (knee), and linebacker Stone Blanton did not participate. Blanton is getting married this weekend.
