Several additional names have since surfaced. These players either visited on Wednesday or have recently wrapped up their visits with the 49ers. The group includes two offensive linemen, a wide receiver, a linebacker, and a cornerback.
Four of the five newly reported prospects revealed their visits via Instagram, posting photos or videos from the 49ers' facility. Those players are:
- CB Bilhal Kone, Western Michigan
- OL Marcus Mbow, Purdue
- LB Kain Medrano, UCLA
- OL Caleb Rogers, Texas Tech
Offensive line remains one of the 49ers' most pressing needs heading into next week's draft. The team lost starting guard Aaron Banks and swing tackle Jaylon Moore in free agency, while All-Pro left tackle Trent Williams will turn 37 before the 2025 season.
Linebacker is another key area to address following Dre Greenlaw's departure to the Denver Broncos. The loss of starting cornerback Charvarius Ward in free agency has also left a void in the secondary.
The fifth recently reported visitor is Ole Miss wide receiver Jordan Watkins, as noted by Arye Pulli of The Sports Place.
Wide receiver is also high on the 49ers' list of draft needs. Deebo Samuel was traded to the Washington Commanders earlier this offseason. Meanwhile, Brandon Aiyuk is unlikely to be ready for Week 1 as he recovers from a serious knee injury sustained in October.
Justin Melo of The Draft Network also reported that the 49ers recently held a virtual interview with Cincinnati running back Corey Kiner. With Christian McCaffrey locked in as the starter, the team is expected to add depth to the backfield.
