"With Trent Williams' career winding down, the 49ers will be in the market to add a developmental option who can sit behind the perennial All-Pro and learn," Cameron wrote. "Grant is a late bloomer but showcases raw potential with great feet, helping him capture a 93.0 PFF run-blocking grade on zone runs."
The 49ers reportedly scheduled a private workout with Grant as part of their ongoing evaluation of offensive line prospects. It's unclear whether that workout has already occurred. Still, Grant could emerge as an intriguing option if the team addresses other needs earlier in the draft—or opts to double down on protecting quarterback Brock Purdy.
Grant did not run the 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine but posted 19 bench press reps in Indianapolis. His physical traits have likely caught the attention of NFL teams. He measured in at 6-foot-5, 311 pounds, with an impressive 7-foot wingspan, ideal measurables for an NFL tackle.
In 2024, Grant earned career-best marks from PFF—a 91.2 overall offensive grade, 90.4 run-blocking grade, and 88.1 pass-blocking grade. Across 767 total snaps, he allowed just nine pressures and two sacks in 12 starts at left tackle.
Additionally, Grant was named a first-team Associated Press FCS All-American in 2024 and earned first-team All-Coastal Athletic Association honors in 2022, 2023, and 2024.
