Jaime Eisner of The Draft Network recently released his latest mock draft, projecting Missouri offensive tackle Armand Membou to the 49ers with the 11th overall pick.
"This selection benefits the 49ers' present and future," Eisner explained. "Armand Membou can begin his career at right tackle before eventually taking over for Trent Williams at left tackle. Membou has dominated the pre-draft process and has a very real shot to be the first offensive lineman selected."
Under this scenario, Membou would initially replace Colton McKivitz on the right side before transitioning to left tackle when Williams retires. However, with several pressing needs heading into the draft, the 49ers could take multiple approaches. The team lost key contributors this offseason, leaving gaps along the defensive line, secondary, linebacker corps, and wide receiver group.
While addressing the offensive line early in the draft would be prudent, it is not a given.
Membou impressed at the NFL Scouting Combine, recording a 4.91-second 40-yard dash, a 9-foot-7 broad jump, and a 34-inch vertical—strong numbers for a 332-pound lineman.
A two-year starter at Missouri, Membou earned a stellar 90.6 offensive grade from Pro Football Focus in 2024, ranking fourth nationally among collegiate offensive linemen. He also posted 87.6 run-blocking and 86.6 pass-blocking grades, solidifying himself as a top prospect.
Notably, over 411 pass-blocking snaps in 2024, Membou allowed just eight pressures and didn't surrender a single sack. His dominance in the trenches could make him exactly what the 49ers need—an investment in protecting franchise quarterback Brock Purdy.
