That leaves San Francisco with Brandon Aiyuk, Jauan Jennings, and last year's first-round pick, Ricky Pearsall, as their top receiving threats. However, Aiyuk may not be ready for the start of the season as he recovers from the ACL injury he suffered in October.
49ers representatives reportedly met with the following receivers in Indianapolis. Each team is allowed up to 45 formal interviews with prospects but can conduct unlimited informal discussions.
- WR Tre Harris, Ole Miss
- WR Jayden Higgins, Iowa State
- WR Antwane Wells Jr., Ole Miss
- WR Ricky White, UNLV
- WR Savion Williams, TCU

Exploring RB options
The 49ers may also look to strengthen their running back group. Christian McCaffrey was limited to just four games last season due to Achilles tendinitis and ended the year on injured reserve with a PCL injury. Jordan Mason also landed on injured reserve after suffering a high-ankle sprain. He is set to become a restricted free agent.
"He played really well, and that's an interesting [situation]," general manager John Lynch said this week. "There's decisions to make. You can low tender him. He wasn't drafted, so then you get nothing if someone makes an offer to him and you don't match.
"You can do the second-round tender (which guarantees a lot more money to the player), so there's a bunch of different dynamics. Or you can just agree to a deal. So, a number of different options that we're exploring."
San Francisco used a fourth-round pick on Isaac Guerendo last year but could still look to add depth in April's draft. The team has reportedly spoken to the following running backs in Indianapolis:
- RB DJ Giddens, Kansas State
- RB Omarion Hampton, North Carolina
- RB R.J. Harvey, UCF
- RB Kaleb Johnson, Iowa
- RB Bhayshul Tuten, Virginia Tech
