On Thursday, Pro Football Focus revealed the placements for two more 49ers players. Defensive end Nick Bosa ranked No. 35, a significant drop from his No. 6 spot last year.
"Bosa battled a pair of nagging injuries throughout the season, eventually missing a crucial stretch for the 49ers—a loss that may have contributed to their second-half skid in 2024," the Pro Football Focus analytics team wrote. "Replacing his impact on the defensive line is no easy task, and when healthy, he remained dominant, posting a 20% pass-rush win rate, a top-five mark among qualifying edge rushers."
Bosa finished the season with nine sacks, failing to reach double digits for the first time since 2020, when he suffered an ACL injury. He also recorded 52 tackles (15 for a loss), an interception, a pass defensed, and a forced fumble.
Meanwhile, tight end George Kittle climbed to No. 13 on the list, a nine-spot jump from last year's No. 22 ranking.
"Kittle once again proved why he is arguably the best all-around tight end in the NFL," the analytics team wrote. "He led the position with a dominant 92.4 receiving grade while also ranking second among tight ends with a 70.8 run-blocking grade. His 2024 season featured a career-high 70.6% contested catch rate and a 2.62 yards per route run mark—his best since 2020."
Kittle surpassed 1,000 receiving yards for the fourth time in his career, finishing with 1,106 yards and eight touchdowns on 78 catches through 15 games. His 14.2 yards per reception was the third-highest of his eight NFL seasons, trailing only his 15.7 yards per reception in 2023 and 15.6-yard average in 2018.
Kittle now ranks third all-time in 49ers franchise history with 7,380 receiving yards, trailing only Jerry Rice (19,247) and Terrell Owens (8,572).
