"For my money, Banks is the best offensive tackle in this draft," Chadwick wrote. "He finished as college football's most valuable Power Four tackle this season, according to PFF's wins above average metric, and has been outstanding since his true freshman year."
Banks starred as the Longhorns' left tackle last season, earning a career-best 89.8 pass-blocking grade from Pro Football Focus, which ranked fourth among all collegiate offensive tackles. Over 537 pass-blocking snaps, he allowed just one sack and 10 total pressures.
In addition to his pass protection skills, Banks posted an 81.0 run-blocking grade and a career-high 86.0 overall offensive grade. He played exclusively at left tackle during his time at Texas. With future Hall of Famer Trent Williams expected to continue anchoring the left side in 2025, Chadwick believes Banks can beat out Colton McKivitz on the opposite side until it's time to succeed Williams.
"He would slot in as the right tackle for the 49ers, opposite Trent Williams, and his athleticism is a perfect fit in San Francisco's zone-heavy run scheme," Chadwick added.
