Who's out?
Quarterback Brock Purdy, who sustained a right elbow contusion with nerve inflammation during last week's game against the Detroit Lions, was ruled out early. Josh Dobbs will step in to start against his former team in Glendale, Arizona.
Wide receiver Deebo Samuel will also miss the game due to rib and wrist injuries. While these setbacks might not have sidelined him under different circumstances, the 49ers' elimination from playoff contention has made it unnecessary to risk further injury.
On defense, cornerback Deommodore Lenoir is out with a shoulder injury, while defensive end Robert Beal will sit due to an ankle issue.
Two to IR
On Saturday, the 49ers placed guard Spencer Burford on injured reserve with a calf injury. Linebacker Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles, initially listed as doubtful for Week 18 due to a calf issue, was also moved to IR.
With these absences, the 49ers hope their depth is enough to lift the team to a win in Week 18.
