Tackle Trent Williams remains at risk of missing his fifth consecutive game—and possibly the rest of the season—as he struggles with an ankle injury. Williams did not participate in Wednesday's practice.
Rookie running back Isaac Guerendo also missed practice, but not only due to the foot sprain he played through last week against the Los Angeles Rams. Instead, Guerendo emerged from that game with a hamstring injury, which kept him sidelined on Wednesday.
Head coach Kyle Shanahan noted that several players would be limited participants in practice, including defensive end Nick Bosa, tackle Jaylon Moore, safety Malik Mustapha, and linebacker Dre Greenlaw.
Mustapha, who sat out the Rams game due to shoulder and chest injuries, doesn't appear to be dealing with the shoulder issue anymore.
Meanwhile, Greenlaw, who made his season debut against the Rams, emerged with some knee soreness after the game. However, he expressed confidence that he'll be ready for Sunday.
"My knee was a little off, a little tweaky," Greenlaw shared. "I feel better this week. Luckily, we had a few extra days [off], so I definitely feel better this week. Just doing everything I can to make sure I can go Sunday. I should be up. No doubt, should be able to go Sunday."
Below are Wednesday's practice participation reports for both the 49ers and Dolphins, which were provided by the 49ers Communications staff.
