Head coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed that rookie running back Isaac Guerendo will not practice due to the foot sprain sustained during Sunday's 38-13 victory over the Chicago Bears. While his absence from practice raises concerns, it doesn't necessarily rule him out for the Week 15 matchup.
On Monday, Shanahan emphasized that the 49ers are prepared to wait until game day before deciding on Guerendo's status. A day later, the coach noted that nothing had changed on that front.
"Same as what I told you guys yesterday," Shanahan said.
The other players sidelined from practice are offensive lineman Ben Bartch, who will be placed on injured reserve this week after suffering a high-ankle sprain, tackle Trent Williams (ankle), and defensive end Nick Bosa (hip, oblique).
Linebacker Dee Winters (ankle), safety Malik Mustapha (chest, shoulder), linebacker Dre Greenlaw (Achilles), linebacker Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles (knee), and defensive end Yetur Gross-Matos (knee) will be limited participants.
