The 49ers were shorthanded at wide receiver on Wednesday. Brandon Aiyuk is out for the season after suffering a severe knee injury on Sunday, and neither Deebo Samuel nor Jauan Jennings practiced. Samuel was recently released from the hospital after battling pneumonia, while Jennings is still recovering from the hip injury that kept him sidelined on Sunday.
Head coach Kyle Shanahan noted that Samuel still has a chance to play on Sunday. The team also hopes that Jennings will return to practice sometime this week.
The 49ers also missed another pass-catcher on Wednesday: tight end George Kittle, who is dealing with a foot injury. When asked if Kittle might miss Sunday's game, Shanahan replied, "I hope not. But he can't go today."
Defensive end Nick Bosa and running back Jordan Mason were limited in practice on Wednesday. Bosa is managing an elbow injury he sustained back in Week 2 against the Minnesota Vikings.
"It's been a little sore," Bosa shared, still wearing a protective sleeve on his left arm. "I bumped it a couple of times last game, but I'm fine."
Mason played against the Chiefs on Sunday but is still recovering from a shoulder injury sustained in Week 6 against the Seattle Seahawks.
Below are Wednesday's practice participation reports for both the 49ers and Cowboys, which were provided by the 49ers Communications staff.
