While Warner did not practice on Wednesday, he made it clear that his goal is to be on the field with his teammates this weekend when the 49ers host the Arizona Cardinals.
When asked about his injury, Warner smiled and told reporters he feels, "Wonderful, legendary, as they say."
"My plan is obviously to play," Warner added. "That's my hope. I'm just going to continue to listen to what the training room wants me to do and take it one day at a time."
Warner is having an outstanding 2024 season, amassing 27 tackles, one for a loss, two interceptions (one returned for a touchdown against the Patriots), three forced fumbles, and a sack through four games. He currently holds the highest Pro Football Focus grade this season, with a career-high 95.9 mark.
Warner exited Sunday's game just before halftime and attempted to return in the third quarter but couldn't.
"Obviously, I'm so eager to be in there at any point," Warner said. "I wanted to be out there to make plays for my team. But then, if I can't, then I'm obviously going to support whoever is out there and do whatever I can to keep the guys going."
