In nine game appearances with the Miami Dolphins last season, Chosen recorded four catches for 126 yards and a touchdown on six targets. His best statistical season came in 2020 with the Carolina Panthers, when he posted 95 catches for 1,096 yards and three touchdowns.
"Blessed and thankful," Chosen said via a text message to NFL insider Josina Anderson regarding signing with the 49ers. "Dream come true; more to become. This is an opportunity to be apart of greatness and go win a Super Bowl. There's greatness all around me here, from what's been done, what exists and will be the future."
Chosen (6-3, 190) entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the New York Jets in 2016. Over his eight NFL seasons, he has amassed 379 catches for 5,082 yards and 30 touchdowns.
San Francisco adds some depth to a wide receiver group currently without Brandon Aiyuk (hold-in) and rookie Ricky Pearsall, who is dealing with a shoulder injury.
