Aaron Hill is in his fourth season with the 49ers as an assistant strength & conditioning coach after spending the previous four years (2015-18) as an assistant strength & conditioning coach at Vanderbilt University.
During his time at Vanderbilt, Hill assisted head strength coach James Dobson and his staff with all aspects of the University's football program, both during the football season and offseason training.
Hill joined the Commodores following an offseason internship in the strength & conditioning department of the Carolina Panthers in 2015. He also served as a strength & conditioning intern at the University of Minnesota in 2014-15.
Hill played linebacker at the University of Minnesota where he appeared in 47 games and registered 192 tackles, five forced fumbles and four interceptions in five years (2009-13). The former walk-on was a two-time recipient of Minnesota's Butch Nash Award for competitiveness on and off the field. He later signed with the St. Louis Rams as an undrafted free agent in 2014 and was waived following training camp.
Hill graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2013 with a bachelor of science in kinesiology sport and exercise science. He later earned his master's degree from the school in applied kinesiology-sport and exercise science the following year. He is certified through both the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CsCCa), and National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). He is also certified in First Aid/CPR/AED through the American Red Cross.
A native of St. Charles, MO, Hill is married to his wife, Lexi, and the couple has one daughter, Olivia.
