Fred Warner has etched his name into the San Francisco 49ers record books. With his first tackle on Sunday against the Seahawks, which came on Seattle's first offensive drive, the star linebacker reached 100 tackles for the sixth consecutive season. He becomes the first 49ers linebacker to achieve this feat, surpassing Derek Smith, who did so in five straight seasons.

This streak is a testament to Warner's reliability since the 49ers selected him as a third-round draft pick out of BYU in 2018. Notably, the dependable Warner has missed only one game in his six NFL seasons.


Warner leads the team in tackles, entering the Week 14 contest with two sacks, eight passes defensed, three interceptions—a career-high—and three forced fumbles.

Additionally, Warner is the fifth active NFL linebacker to record 100 or more tackles in six consecutive seasons. The others include Demario Davis of the New Orleans Saints (6 seasons), Eric Kendricks of the Los Angeles Chargers (6), Roquan Smith of the Baltimore Ravens (6), and Bobby Wagner of the Seattle Seahawks (12).
