One advantage of playing on Thursday night is enjoying the extra time off before returning to the grind on Monday. That's when the team will begin preparing for its NFC Championship Game rematch against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Asked about the key to the 49ers' resurgence, Samuel told Ruiz, "Just come out here and play Niner football—fast, physical, and just be on task."
San Francisco improved its record to 8-3, taking a two-game lead over the Seahawks in the NFC West standings and climbing into the driver's seat for the No. 2 seed in the NFC playoff picture.
Samuel finished Thursday night with a game-high 79 receiving yards on seven catches and even scored on a two-yard run.
When asked how the 49ers can carry their momentum into the Week 13 matchup against the Eagles, Samuel responded, "Well, one, we're going to take these couple days to get our bodies back together, take a little break. Come Monday, we know we got a tough task in front of [us] to come out here and play some good football."
