George Kittle, the San Francisco 49ers' star tight end, may face a hefty bill from the NFL. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the league is contemplating a fine for Kittle after he revealed a shirt with a not-safe-for-work message during Sunday night's 42-10 win over the Dallas Cowboys. The shirt, worn under his jersey but showed off to fans during one of the 49ers' many trips into the end zone, read "F--k Dallas," an homage to the shirt once worn by Gary Plummer.

"Under the terms of the NFL's fine schedule, personal messages carry a fine of $10,927," wrote Schefter.



Not everyone found Kittle's attire amusing.

"I just feel like he's making it way more personal than it had to be," Cowboys pass rusher Micah Parsons said this week. "Kittle's my guy, but I'm going to say this: Laugh now, cry later. We got something for that. Just trust. Just trust. If we see them again, just trust. ... And we gonna put it just like that. I ain't going to put too much on it. You going to make it personal? We can make it personal."

Kittle had a chance to respond to Parsons' comments during a conversation on Bay Area radio station KNBR.

"I like to find inspiration throughout weeks, throughout the season, because it's a long season and it's a grind sometimes, and just want to find a little juice from other places," Kittle shared. "And my entire career, every time we play Dallas, I've always seen this Gary Plummer photo of him ripping up the t-shirt for the NFC Championship game.

"And it just hit a little bit different this week when I saw it. And the Niners accounts posted last week after our Thursday night game, like, hey, it's Dallas week."


Kittle added, "I'm a mild internet troll. It's just kind of the age I grew up in."
