Linebackers Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles and Dre Greenlaw emerged from Thursday night's game with low-ankle sprains. Both are day-to-day. The good news is that players have some extra time off before returning to work on Monday, when the 49ers begin preparing for the Arizona Cardinals.
The only other player who was banged up in the Week 3 contest is wide receiver Deebo Samuel. The 49ers initially feared a rib injury, but it sounds like the star wideout avoided anything serious.
"Deebo Samuel, his ribs checked out," Shanahan told reporters. "No break. Pretty sore today, so he'll be day-to-day."
After the game, Samuel told reporters he believed he just got the wind knocked out of him after landing on the football. Apparently, there was enough concern inside the building to check the receiver out further, or the 49ers were being extra cautious with their valuable playmaker.
San Francisco is 3-0 after wins over the Pittsburgh Steelers, Los Angeles Rams, and this week's victory against the Giants.
