The San Francisco 49ers have released the list of inactive players for their Week 1 matchup on the road against the Pittsburgh Steelers. These players will not suit up for the game.

Inactives:

On Friday, the 49ers listed two players, TE George Kittle (groin) and CB Charvarius Ward (heel), as questionable. Kittle and Ward are active.

Kittle's injury had kept him limited throughout practice all week, while Ward didn't play Wednesday or Thursday before serving as limited on Friday.

But, the 49ers will have both key players vs. the Steelers.

In addition, the 49ers are elevating two players from the practice squad for Sunday's game: defensive end Austin Bryant and linebacker Curtis Robinson.

With Robinson's elevation, it was assumed that at least one of the rookie linebackers would be inactive for the 49ers, but both will not suit up for Sunday's game.

Instead, the 49ers will roll with Fred Warner, Dre Greenlaw, Oren Burks, Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles, and Curtis Robinson as their five linebackers.

Quarterback Brandon Allen will serve as the "emergency" quarterback, hence why he's listed as an inactive for the game, but will still suit up.
