Bosa's deal became official on Friday after the news broke of his extension on Wednesday, with the team now activating him from the reserve/did not report list to the active roster.
Details have now emerged on Bosa's deal, via Over The Cap, distributing the cap hits and how the 49ers structured the deal over the course of the next six years, including the fifth-year option, while a void year was attached to the end of the deal.
As a result of Bosa's deal becoming official, the 49ers made space on the roster by initially releasing Austin Bryant from the active roster, but brought him back on Saturday to the practice squad, releasing kicker Matthew Wright, who had been signed as insurance for rookie kicker Jake Moody.
With Wright's release, it now becomes likely that Jake Moody will suit up and serve as the 49ers' Week 1 kicker, which the team had been hinting at with his recovery this week.
Wright originally signed with the team's practice squad on September 4, 2023.
