This will be Tight End University's third annual event in Nashville, Tennessee, bringing together some of the top tight ends in the NFL to learn from each other and improve their skills. It was founded by Kittle, Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs, and NFL tight end turned sportscaster Greg Olsen.
Over 80 tight ends attended last year, and Kittle expects similar numbers this month, with an estimated 75 players signed up.
"Forty girlfriends and wives are coming too, so that's pretty awesome that we have this huge umbrella that we can support everybody [attending]," Kittle said Tuesday on NFL Network's Good Morning Football. "We have multiple quarterbacks coming from Josh Allen to Trey Lance, [Jaguars QB] C.J. Beathard, [Vikings QB] Nick Mullens, Sam Darnold. We have a plethora of guys. [XFL QB] Kurt Benkert, I think, is coming too. So we have guys coming in through that.
"We're really excited about it. We now have some special guests. I think Gronk (Rob Gronkowski) is coming this year. Jordan Reed is coming to teach some releases."
Kittle notes that the first two days of Tight End University will be in the classroom covering route running, mentally approaching football, reading coverages, and the best way to recover.
Tight End University kicks off on June 22 at Vanderbilt University.
