Just hours before kickoff, the 49ers placed defensive lineman Hassan Ridgeway (pectoral) on injured reserve, likely ending his season.
Below are the 49ers-related in-game injury updates.
CB Ambry Thomas (ankle, questionable)
Ambry Thomas entered the game as "questionable" to play due to an ankle injury. The cornerback exited the game in the first half. The 49ers announced that he is "questionable" to return due to an ankle injury.
He did not end up returning to the game.
CB Charvarius Ward (evaluated for concussion)
Cornerback Charvarius Ward briefly left the game in the fourth quarter to be evaluated for a concussion. He was replaced by Janoris Jenkins, who was elevated from the practice squad just hours before kickoff.
Ward was cleared to return to the game. However, head coach Kyle Shanahan kept him out.
"I think he passed it initially, but I didn't feel totally right about it, just talking to him and stuff," Shanahan explained. "So we didn't think he should go back in."
DE Samson Ebukam (unknown)
Defensive end Samson Ebukam was slow to get up in the fourth quarter, after delivering a hit on Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith. He was able to walk off the field under his own power.
Shanahan did not mention Ebukam in his post-game injury report, so it would appear that the defender's injury wasn't anything serious.
WR Danny Gray (hamstring)
After the game, Shanahan revealed that rookie wide receiver Danny Gray suffered a hamstring injury and did not return to the game.
