"Man, the worst thing he could tell me is, 'No,'" Greenlaw said after the game when asked about the exchange. "I mean, I was always told, 'If you don't ask, you'll never know.'"
49ers teammate Fred Warner even popped over to ensure Greenlaw got the autograph.
"I had to run up there with him just to make sure that Tom was going to sign them," Warner shared. "It was a cool moment. Tom, he's a standup guy, seriously. He told us how much he respected our game at the end there, and that's cool by him."

On Monday, Brady discussed the moment on his SiriusXM radio show with co-hosts Larry Fitzgerald and Jim Gray. Gray asked the future Hall of Fame quarterback what that moment was like for him.
"It was sh-- for me, to be honest," Brady said (h/t ESPN's Nick Wagoner). "It was complete s---. (laughter) But I try to be a gentleman. No, actually, I mean, look, it was a great play he made. I'm happy he's got the ball.
"I wish I didn't throw it, but I'm trying to be a good sport. Because a lot of times I'm not a good sport. I can be a pretty bad sport. In the moment when they get me in the right frame of mind, I'm actually a good sport."
Greenlaw was appreciative. Brady didn't just sign that football; he also signed the one that safety Tashaun Gipson intercepted.
"He's a good guy to be able to sign that ball out there," Greenlaw said. "... He's the greatest. He's the G.O.A.T., so I appreciate that."
