Cameras caught several dancers coming over to greet the quarterback, ignoring the teammates sitting next to him, much to the amusement of Kittle and the others.
During his Wednesday-morning interview on KNBR, Kyle Shanahan was asked about the viral video. Of course, Garoppolo garnering all the attention wasn't surprising at all to the head coach.
"It's a normal thing. I've been at fundraisers with him, and it's a tough life he's got to live," Shanahan joked on the Murph & Mac show. "It's unbelievable. I've seen it before, though, so it doesn't surprise me."
One of the players sitting next to Garoppolo even had a chance to comment on being treated as if he were invisible.
"I will say this: Besides the very first woman that came up to say 'Hi' to Jimmy, they all said 'Hi' to all of us," Kittle told 95.7 The Game's Ray Ratto and Whitey Gleason on Wednesday.
Kittle jokingly added, "Besides Christian. They all left Christian out to dry. I don't know why."
The tight end wanted to clarify something about the exchange, though.
"The best part about that, too, that wasn't the Golden State dancers," Kittle continued. "That was the—I'm not gonna say elderly—I'm going to say the older dancers that came up to say 'Hi' to us, which made it 10 times better. Because they were all just the biggest fans. I will say, they were all very, very infatuated with Jimmy G."
The 49ers coach was asked about the other players being ignored. Again, it wasn't too much of a surprise.
"They're decent-looking guys, right?" Shanahan said. "They play for us. They're nothing. ... If you want to not be noticed, just sit next to [Garoppolo]."
