All eyes were on Christian McCaffrey as the new 49ers running back took part in his first full practice (He missed the start of last Friday's session).
Wide receiver Deebo Samuel emerged from Sunday's loss against the Kansas City Chiefs with a hamstring injury. Head coach Kyle Shanahan says the receiver is "making progress." However, he did not practice on Wednesday.
The 49ers are hopeful that defensive lineman Arik Armstead can return this weekend against the Rams. He has not played since the last time San Francisco faced the Rams during Week 4.
Fullback Kyle Juszczyk underwent surgery on his broken finger on Monday. The 49ers have ruled him out for Week 8 but envision a return after the bye week.
On Wednesday, the 49ers activated cornerback Jason Verrett from the physically unable to perform (PUP) list. Shanahan has not ruled out the possibility of the cornerback playing this weekend but will wait and see how he makes it through practice this week. Verrett was limited on Wednesday.
