Shanahan wasn't the only coach they called. The 49ers players at Allegiant Stadium also FaceTimed Mike McDaniel, their offensive coordinator, who, at the time, was in the middle of being hired as the new Miami Dolphins head coach. But he still picked up for his beloved soon-to-be-former players.
You even see Samuel, seated further away, hear McDaniel's voice and join Kittle, Juszczyk, and guard Laken Tomlinson to see the coach.
Kittle was mic'd up for the Pro Bowl. He has been selected to the annual all-star roster three times. That's nothing compared to Alex Mack and Juszczyk, though. This was the seventh selection for the 49ers center and the sixth for the fullback. It was the first selection for Samuel and Tomlinson.
Of course, Kittle being mic'd up led to this.
