"We're going to have to get some X-rays and stuff on him," head coach Kyle Shanahan said after the 49ers' 13-10 victory. "I mean, I saw him hobbling around the whole second half, so I'm not sure yet."
Williams got his right ankle wrapped after looking to be in pain in the third quarter. He stayed in the game but was later seen limping off the field. Williams played 53 of the 49ers' 54 offensive snaps against the Packers at Lambeau Field.
Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports that the X-rays returned negative.
"Those X-rays did not show any fracture, according to the source," wrote Maiocco.
We'll see how cautious the 49ers are with Williams during the upcoming week of practices. The team will travel to play the winner of Sunday's game between the Los Angeles Rams and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which is tied 27-27, as of this post.
Update: The Rams won 30-27. That means the 49ers will travel to SoFi Stadium for the second time this season.
