The two most significant known injuries were to defensive end Nick Bosa and linebacker Fred Warner. Both left the game and did not return. Shanahan also revealed that his starting quarterback suffered an in-game injury.
QB Jimmy Garoppolo
Garoppolo suffered a shoulder sprain but should be able to practice this week. The injury was to his right (throwing) shoulder.
"He should be fine for practice," Shanahan said. "He did it in the second quarter. He had to play through some pain and stuff, but he ended up checking out alright. Just a slight shoulder sprain, and he should be good for [Tuesday's] practice."
LB Fred Warner
After exiting with an ankle sprain, Warner watched the end of the game from the sidelines. Shanahan clarified that it is a low-ankle sprain and sounded optimistic that the linebacker could practice this week.
"We'll evaluate and see as the week goes, but the initial scare was that it could have been a high [ankle sprain], so we got good news on that," Shanahan said. "He had something similar to this earlier in the year but we'll evaluate him here on [Tuesday]."
DE Nick Bosa
Bosa is in the concussion protocol after a collision with teammate D.J. Jones.
"I didn't personally get to talk to him [on the plane]," Shanahan said. "I talked to a number of guys who did, and our trainers. We're being pretty optimistic with it. I've seen that a few times, and he seems like he's in a pretty good spot right now, but I'm not going to be the one who judges that."
DE Jordan Willis
Willis suffered a high-ankle sprain, which could keep him out against the Packers.
S Talanoa Hufanga and LB Marcell Harris
Neither player was active on Sunday.
"They're both in the same category," Shanahan said. "they both have a chance to practice on [Tuesday]. Marcell is dealing with some Achilles tendinitis, and Huf still has his knee issues. They'll try to get back out to practice there, and they'll be day-to-day as the week goes."
Practice Schedule
The 49ers will hold their first practice on Tuesday instead of the typical Wednesday session due to the short week. Shanahan said he doubts there will be many full-speed reps this week because the team is coming off back-to-back physical games and will have to travel again for this weekend's game.
