While speaking with reporters after Sunday's playoff win, head coach Kyle Shanahan wasn't sure when his San Francisco 49ers would face the Green Bay Packers in the Divisional Round next weekend. He does now.

The NFL announced that the Packers will host the 49ers at Lambeau Field on Saturday, January 22, at 5:15 p.m. PT (8:15 p.m. ET). The game will be televised on FOX. It's a rematch of the Week 3 contest between the two teams—a 30-28 Packers victory at Levi's Stadium.


"I'm ready," defensive tackle D.J. Jones said after the 49ers' 23-17 win over the Cowboys. "Not right now, but we will be. We definitely will be. They're a great team, obviously, but we're ready for the challenge."

It's also the first playoff meeting between the two teams since the NFC Championship game following the 2019 season. San Francisco won that game 37-20.

"I think it's going to be a pretty good matchup," wide receiver Deebo Samuel said. "We've got to have a good week of preparation, and just get ready, and have everybody on their Ps and Qs, and just go out there and play our ball."

The bad news is that the Saturday game gives defensive end Nick Bosa one less day to clear the concussion protocol. The pass rusher left the game late in the first half, and San Francisco eventually ruled him out due to a head injury.
