Williams is dealing with an elbow injury that forced him to miss the San Francisco 49ers' regular-season finale against the Los Angeles Rams.
"He looks to be good to go for Sunday's game," wrote Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area.
"The elbow is doing good," Williams told reporters on Thursday. "It's made a lot of improvement over the past week or so. Yeah, I practiced today. It felt pretty good. I chose to go with the tape (versus a brace). I'm not a huge fan of the brace. I went with the tape today, but everything feels pretty good."
Williams added that the injury occurred on the sixth play of the 49ers' Week 17 contest against the Houston Texans.
"I just kinda labored through it. I got it done," Williams shared. "Eventually, when we had the game in hand, they let me come out. ... I just gritted through it, and I paid the price later."
After the season, Williams will not require surgery for the injury to heal completely.
Absent from Friday's practice was linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair. General manager John Lynch sounded optimistic that the defender would play in Sunday's playoff game.
"The nice thing now is it looks as though Azeez is going to be ready to roll," Lynch said Thursday during his weekly KNBR interview.
