While the San Francisco 49ers are preparing to head on the road for the start of the playoffs, the Dallas Cowboys are preparing to host Kyle Shanahan's squad. Naturally, the last thing the Cowboys want to see is a takeover of their home stadium, which is what we saw at SoFi Stadium during the regular-season finale against the Los Angeles Rams.

On Tuesday morning, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones joined 105.3 The Fan and acknowledged that he has no control over who buys the tickets. However, he boasted about the Cowboys having the highest resale ticket prices in the NFL right now, which he feels could help limit the number of opposing fans for the playoff matchup. Although, he also acknowledged the size of his stadium while bragging about his team's attendance numbers, which could make it easier for opposing fans to attend.


"I welcome it," Jones said. "I think it's a great atmosphere. You'd have to really be missing the sensitivity that's around the Cowboys right now to think that, in my mind, that we're going to have any concern, really, over the [opposing fans]. It will be a Cowboys home game. There's no question about it. A home playoff game, and it will be roaring."

Jones went on to talk about the game itself, offering a scouting report on the visiting 49ers.

"I think they're very physical, and distinguishably so," Jones said (h/t to Jon Machota of The Athletic). "They've got a really stout defensive line. They're really good in their offensive line. They seem to have some pretty good flexibility there, position flex. They've moved them around a tad. But more importantly than anything, they use it on both sides of the ball, the physical part of it. So, this team is about that.

"They're very confident. They've won some big games. They've won it against some good teams. They play in a tough division over there. The playoffs just demonstrated that completely with the fact that three out of the four teams in the division [made it], and Seattle was no slouch. They come tested. They come playoff-ready. They'll be tough."

Jones holds a great deal of respect for the 49ers organization and its head coach. There will be no looking past Sunday's game with San Francisco looking like a dangerous opponent.


"I have such respect for Coach Shanahan," Jones said. "I had respect for his dad (Mike Shanahan). He obviously comes with the pedigree of having grown up in it, as well as having had success. And you've got to respect that. They've got a fine organization. And they've been to the Super Bowl since we have, obviously, and have competed here these last two or three years at a higher level than we have.

"So, we've got to factor all that in. They'll be a real, real mess to deal with out here Sunday."
