Trent Williams, tackle
Williams did not play on Sunday. He was inactive due to an elbow injury. Shanahan says Williams will be doing everything he can to play against the Cowboys. However, the coach didn't sound optimistic that his starting left tackle would practice on Wednesday.
"He wasn't going to be in good enough shape to protect himself [on Sunday] or the quarterback in the game," Shanahan said. "That was tough on him, but I think he was as excited as anyone after we won because I know he's going to do everything he can, and I think he just needs seven more days."
K'Waun Williams, cornerback
Williams, another player who did not play on Sunday, was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list before the game but did not feel well enough to play.
"I didn't get to talk to him today," Shanahan said, "but I'd be surprised if he wasn't good to go on Wednesday."
Jimmy Garoppolo, quarterback
Garoppolo "made it out of the game in good shape." He played through a torn ligament and chipped bone in his right thumb. The 49ers could limit Garoppolo in practice this week.
Elijah Mitchell, running back
Like Garoppolo, Mitchell made it out of the game OK. He had been dealing with a knee injury. The 49ers will continue to be cautious with him, limiting him during practices this week.
Mitch Wishnowsky, punter
Wishnowsky was victim to an uncalled helmet-to-helmet hit during a punt return. He was evaluated for a concussion and did not return to the game. Wishnowsky is in the concussion protocol.
Jaquiski Tartt, safety
Tartt exited the game in the second half due to a groin injury.
"Positive news from the MRI," Shanahan said, "so we'll see where he is on Wednesday."
Talanoa Hufanga, safety
Hufanga was ruled "out" with a knee injury.
"Hufanga irritated the same knee [as his previous injury]," Shanahan said. "We'll see where he is on Wednesday. he'll still have a chance."
Azeez Al-Shaair and Marcell Harris, linebackers
Both Al-Shaair and Harris were inactive against the Rams. Shanahan hopes to get both back this week.
