On Thursday, Deebo Samuel shared with reporters that his son, Tyshun Raequan Samuel Jr., was born on Monday in North Carolina, coming in at eight pounds and fifteen ounces.
Deebo, whose own name is Tyshun Raequan Samuel, gave his first son his namesake, and hopes to add the words Sr. to the back of his jersey Sunday.
Samuel was certainly happy during the process, sharing that while he "didn't cry", he was joyful on Monday.
In addition, Samuel has looked to teammate and fellow 25-year old Emmanuel Moseley, who's been a great teammate and supporter for the third-year receiver.
Samuel also noted on the extra caution with his body, given the number of flights he's recently been on, in preparation for Sunday's game against the Houston Texans, which could be a must-win in order for San Francisco to make the playoffs.
Whether Samuel will be able to add "Sr." to his jersey on Sunday or not is unknown at the moment, but it will certainly be something to look for on the back of #19 as he chases 1300 receiving yards on the season.
