Quick Takeaways
Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo's overall grade of 56.6 was his lowest since his poor Week 7 performance, partly due to his first interceptions since Week 13. Garoppolo completed 26 of his 35 passes for 322 yards and a touchdown, plus the two costly picks.
Wide receiver Deebo Samuel was the game's second-highest graded player. Only Titans wide receiver A.J. Brown's 90.7 overall grade was higher. Samuel's 90.1 grade was his highest since Week 10 (90.6) and his second-highest mark of the season. He hauled in 9 receptions for 159 yards while adding five carries for 32 yards. Thursday was Samuel's fourth game this season of accumulating 150-or-more yards, the most in the NFL.
For the fifth consecutive week, Tackle Tom Compton was among the 49ers' three highest-graded offensive players. He has earned grades of 74.1-or-higher in each of those games, with his career-high of 95.9 coming in Week 15.
Defensive tackle D.J. Jones quietly continues to have one of his best seasons. His 82.4 overall grade was his second-highest this season, and he was the highest-graded defender of the game.
Defensive end Jordan Willis recorded his second sack of the season and has 7.5 career sacks. He finished the game with two tackles, a tackle for a loss, and a quarterback hit.
