Below are the 49ers-Bengals in-game injury updates.
LB Fred Warner (returned)
Warner went down late in the first half. 49ers staff examined his lower leg, and the star linebacker was able to return to the game in the second half of action.
LB Azeez Al-Shaair (elbow, out)
Al-Shaair didn't get up from a play in the third quarter. He was eventually able to walk off the field and was escorted to the blue medical tent for evaluation.
The 49ers later announced that Al-Shaair sustained an elbow injury and is "questionable" to return. Another update ruled him "out." The third-year linebacker exited with a team-leading 11 tackles in the game.
TE George Kittle
Matt Barrows of The Athletic noted that Kittle did not look comfortable late in the game. The tight end was later seen with a compression sleeve over his right leg but remained in the game. Head coach Kyle Shanahan did not mention Kittle in his post-game injury report.
CB Ambry Thomas (head)
Thomas went down in overtime but was able to walk off the field without assistance. Shanahan said the rookie cornerback was examined for a "head injury" and did not return to the game.
