Wide receiver Deebo Samuel returned to the practice field after being absent from Wednesday and Thursday's sessions.
"He was able to do everything [on Friday]," head coach Kyle Shanahan said. "We don't go full-speed, though, so it was pretty easy."
Shanahan added, "I'll find out tomorrow, how they tell me where they think he's at. If they think he's good and don't feel like he'll reinjure it, then he'll be up on Sunday."
Samuel and cornerback Dontae Johnson are listed as "questionable"; Johnson for personal reasons. On Friday, Shanahan said that Johnson will start if he is available. The 49ers would likely go with one of their two rookies—Deommodore Lenoir or Ambry Thomas—if Johnson cannot play.
Running back Elijah Mitchell hasn't practiced all this week. He remains in the concussion protocol and has been ruled out against the Bengals.
Defensive end Dee Ford (back) does not appear in the practice participation reports because he remains on the injured reserve list. San Francisco opened the practice window for Ford on November 25. The veteran pass rusher was noticeably absent all week, reducing his chances of a Week 14 return.
For the Bengals, quarterback Joe Burrow (finger) is expected to play. Running back Joe Mixon and wide receiver Tee Higgins are listed as "questionable."
Below are the official injury reports for the 49ers and Bengals, which were provided by the 49ers Communications staff. Also included are Friday's practice participation reports.
