San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa has not participated in team drills yet, and won't do so this week. The team is being extra cautious with its young pass rusher, hoping to have him available for the entire season.

Bosa is coming off an ACL injury, which he suffered during Week 2 last season. He has only participated in warmups and individual drills up to this point. Head coach Kyle Shanahan expects that to change next week as the team begins preparations for its final preseason game, a matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders at Levi's Stadium on August 29.

After today's practice, Shanahan was asked if the plan is still to have Bosa participate in team drills next week.

"That's what we're hoping for," Shanahan responded. "I think if we stay on track, I think we'll see him next week."

That, along with the time leading to the regular-season opener on September 12, should give Bosa all the practice he needs to prepare for the upcoming season.
