Fans were immediately able to start purchasing jerseys of their own (get yours here) with the names and numbers of their favorite players. Today, the team revealed which players' jerseys are the best-selling. None—particularly the top two—should come as a surprise.
The 49ers players with the best-selling red throwbacks are tight end George Kittle, linebacker Fred Warner, defensive end Nick Bosa, and wide receiver Deebo Samuel, in that order.
Jerseys for other current players like quarterbacks Jimmy Garoppolo and Trey Lance, wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk, and former players like Jerry Rice and Steve Young were made available but didn't break into the top four.
The 49ers will debut the new jerseys in their first home game—a Week 3 matchup against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football.
Also of note for fans returning to Levi's Stadium this season: The 49ers will enforce the mask mandate for indoor areas of the venue, per team president Al Guido. It will not be required for fans in outdoor areas or while tailgating.
